These can be created to order and shipped worldwide to your specification, or you can take advantage of our expertise and have them fitted at our specialised workshop.

Although we do offer pre-dyed skins, we also provide our own hand dyed leathers.

So why choose hand dyed?

The difference between pre- dyed and hand dyed, is that the pre-dyed skins come in a block colour e.g. blue, black, red, etc. We antique these skins to give them a patina and tool them in exactly the same process, but unfortunately a lot of the true beauty is lost during the pre-dyeing process.

Using the hand dyeing process, we use a natural skin and as we apply the colour by hand we can allow the natural grain of the leather to be seen.

Another advantage to the hand dyeing process is that we are able to control the shading and fading of the leather, fading the colour in the middle, gradually getting darker to the edges. This is perfect for antiques, giving the impression the leather has been there for many years, but well maintained and looked after.

The other advantage to hand dyeing is that the colours are endless, we can mix our own colours, so we can provide a near match to an existing colour if required.   

What we do: - We start by removing the old leather and preparing the surface.Once that is done, we then carefully select a skin from our stock of natural skiver/hide

We then select a colour and begin the hand dying process.
